EEII2017 invitation

After 2 years EEII is resurrected as an art-gathering in the Center for Creative Solutions located at village Rasoja, near Lovinac, Croatia, on 24th and 25th June.

We are expecting artist that use environment as their starting point, and while making their art, performing, playing, etc., use renewable energy while having bio-diversity, self sustainability and climate change in the mind.

EEII ’17 offers:

– art camp in the woods

– making your meal on fire with local organic food

– small stage with PI that runs on renewable energy – music only at day (sun) time!

– middle of he woods, no neighbors

– walks in the nature

– own watter well

– gathering of forest-food and mushrooms

– jumping in the local river

– searching for wild animals

– evening around the fire with acoustic and DIY instruments

Safest to come is with a car. Another option is train that runs from Zagreb to Split, exit station Lovinac. Bring your sleeping bags, tents, other accessories. Self sustainability is key word.

EEII’14

10 years of Experimental Electronics Interventions has been recorded at this blog. Some of the parts are maybe lost, but the spirit of EEII is still here. this year, on 10th year anniversary, we are having a hybrid event full of surprises. EEII014 is happening from 7th to 14th October. It is intermedia art experience comprised of “on the road” multimedia together with electronic experiments, research and production in digital media.

Our participants will enjoy small travel that will connect different parts of Croatia in a crazy electric cur run, where boundaries of batteries will be tested both in kilometres and hours. EEII touring car, full electric model, is taking us to the experiment of covering ground beyond its usual distances. Performance “Can I have some Electricity?” is performed at every ad hoc stop, without knowing where that place might be.

Artist tour of the area designated for building Centre for Creative Solution will be organized together with 3d modelling workshops where Centre will have its virtual birth. C4CS will be a home to EEII for the next decade and if finished in time EEII’15 is planed to be organized there. Sound experiments will be carried out at most unussual spaces.

EEII’14 is finishing at Town Concert and Exhibition Hall in Zalaegerszeg, Hungary with multimedia performance at the opening of the group exhibition including collaborative working environments.

EEII’14 is supported by Zaklada Kultura Nova, Ministray of Culture Croatia, Avantcar Croatia, terme Jezerčica.

EEII are Božidar Slukan, Josip Kanjiža, Danijela Zoroja and Kruno Jošt. Many thanks to local goverment of Gračac, Antonija, Dane and KAtja for co-organizing.

EEII’12 process

EEII ’12 was carried out trough a series of workshops and group meetings where connections between individual art projects were established. Connections were made trough media connections – audio connecting to video, or performative action to audio. Projects were also connected trough a score devised for Saturday evenings presentation.

Potato sculpture and potato music

EEII ’12 crew visited potato sculpture erected in village of Belica near Čakovec.

After paying respects to the sculpture of our electrolytic battery, we headed to ask locals to donate potatoes for Karl’s performance. They were happy to see how it works and to talk to us. We got best potatoes we could get.

Afternoon was busy with high school students visiting the workshops.
